Flooring

Today flooring materials vary more than ever before, offering a combination of fashion and function. Our project managers can show you all the choices available for your home from hardwood to tiles, marble, vinyl, laminate and stone. Knowing how each room is used will guide your decision about appropriate flooring.

Kitchen: Vinyl is a good choice for kitchen floors, in case you drop a glass or dish. Vinyl floors have more bounce and may prevent breaking. Keep in mind that deeply textured vinyl floors may be harder to clean. Tile floors, laminate floors and wood floors are also great kitchen alternatives.

Bathroom: Ceramic tile floors is a growing choice for bathrooms. Traditionally vinyl floors have been a primary choice. Newer laminate and wood floor products can be adapted to bathrooms even with excessive moisture.

Living Room: Carpet offers fibers and styles that accommodate informal or formal use, but hardwood floors also provide an attractive, durable option, especially with the addition of area rugs.

Dining Room: Carpet tends to show more stains and may not be the best choice. Hardwood floors, laminate floors or tile work well in dining rooms.

Bedroom: Since floors are usually overshadowed by the bed and coordinating fabrics, consider neutral flooring that adapts to any change in decorations. Carpet is a traditional choice, since it´s soft and warmer for bare feet than tile or wood floors. Wood or laminate floors are good alternatives, especially if you add decorative rugs.

Hallways and Stairs: Look for a sturdy material that coordinates with the rest of the flooring in the house, but can still stand up to steady traffic that brings in dirt and moisture. Inlaid patterns of wood parquet, ceramic tile or laminate flooring can be dramatic and still handle traffic.
